Meet Morris! He’s a 4 year old basset hound full of personality. This guy is a smiley boy who loves being around people. Everyone is a new friend to him!

He’s around 60lbs, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He gets along with everyone – children, dogs, cats. He’s a chatty boy and makes sure to community well with his basset voice.

Morris is potty trained and does very well with that. He was crate trained as a puppy, but hasn’t utilized a crate in years. He slept in his dog bed in the living room and was happy as a clam. He will bark sometimes, but his motive is always to receive attention. This guy *loves* attention (most bassets do), understands most basic commands and he walks well on a leash. He’s also not a food aggressive kind of guy.

Morris doesn’t really like being alone, and his previous family was very split with a long work commute that caused him to be alone between 10-12 hours. They felt this wasn’t fair to him and caused him anxiety. He’s also startled by loud noises like fireworks and storms. He will let you know when he’s scared, though. He’s not the suffer in silence type.

Morris’s ideal situation would be one where he could enjoy the company of his people. He will thrive in a home that ensures he isn’t by himself all the time.

If Morris is the kind of guy you’d like to have in your life, please fill out an adoption questionnaire below.
