Banjo is a seven-year-old lemon and white Basset Hound who spent his entire life with one loving family. Unfortunately, due to a difficult relocation, his family had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender him. Now, Banjo is looking for a warm and caring home where he can continue to be cherished.

He’s in excellent health—heartworm negative, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and fully house-trained. In his foster home, Banjo has been calm and friendly with both the resident dogs and cat, showing that he’s perfectly comfortable in a home with other pets.

Banjo is a gentle soul who can be a little reserved at first, but once he feels safe, he opens up beautifully. He loves giving kisses, leaning in for affection, and asking sweetly for belly rubs. He’s a quiet companion with a big heart and a peaceful presence.

One of Banjo’s most endearing quirks is his love for music. He especially enjoys being serenaded with the Birthday Song—and when you start singing, don’t be surprised if he joins in as your backup singer. His howling harmony is sure to bring a smile to your face.
