Ruby is a 10-month-old, 38-pound tri-color basset hound who is ready to find her forever home. She’s a sweet, gentle girl with a calm personality and a heart full of love. Ruby has been spayed, is up to date on all her vaccines, and is officially ready to begin her next chapter.

Ruby is crate trained and feels safe and comfortable in her crate. She’s a docile companion who gets along wonderfully with people, children, cats, and other dogs. In fact, she absolutely loves the company of other dogs and can often be found following her foster sister wherever she goes. Because of this, Ruby would do best in a home with another friendly dog who can help show her the ropes and keep her company.

Like many young dogs, Ruby is still learning a few things about the world. She’s currently working on her potty training and leash manners, but she responds very well to gentle correction and positive reinforcement. Her foster family describes her as eager to please and quick to learn.

Ruby’s affectionate and easygoing nature makes her the kind of companion who fits right into a loving household. She’s happy to play, explore, and then curl up for a quiet nap by your side.
