Meet Maxine and Mavis! They are 7yo coonhound mix sisters whose humans had to lovingly surrender them when their mom entered hospice care and their father could no longer give them the time and attention they deserve. These girls are equal parts energetic and laid back and would make a great addition to any family.

Maxine is a sweet playful girl who wants nothing more than love and affection. She loves bones, toys, and loves even more to tear them apart. She walks well on a leash and has improved quite a bit with pulling. Maxine gets along with other friendly dogs and seems indifferent with cats. She is a little nervous in new situations but warms up with reassurance. Maxine is very food motivated and needs to be supervised to prevent counter surfing but respects gates and responds to correction.

Mavis is also sweet but is a little more shy. She isn’t as interested in toys like her sister but loves a comfy couch or open crate to take a snooze. She also loves bones and gets so excited when chewing she makes funny noises. We are also working pulling when on the leash but she’s doing very well. She loves a good meal or snack just like her sister and will let you know when it’s time for breakfast. She also gets along with friendly dogs and is indifferent with cats.

Maxine and Mavis are a bonded pair and we would like for them to be adopted together, as they are littermates and have spent their lives as companions. These two can be crated, but dont necessarily need to be. They are well behaved and understand basic commands.
