Meet Luna! She’s a beautiful 1 year old bloodhound named after the beauty of the moon. She came to us because her family was ill and couldn’t continue to care for her, and she’s looking to a family who is going to give her a wonderful life full of love.

Luna is around 70lbs, spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative and in peak health. She’s also crate trained, house trained, and understands some basic commands. She’s friendly with dogs, people, and children. She hasn’t been tested with cats. She will come when called and she can walk on a lead.

Luna is a young, high energy dog. Her former home didn’t provide her with enough physical or mental enrichment, so that manifested in a predictable way- digging, chewing, jumping on people. Luna would benefit from a home who will make sure that she is being adequately exercised both mentally and physically.

Luna has a lot of love to give and we’d like to see her in a home where she’ll have time for her puppy brain to catch up to her body; a space where she’ll can perfect her manners and play until she’s exhausted.
